Today was our first day here. Florence is beautiful and we got an awesome apartment! My bedroom overlooks the Pontevecchio, which is perfect because we got a room with a balcony! Me and Annie are in one room, and we have 4 roommates (3 from NY). Our apartment is a good size for being right in the middle of everything. The only downside would be our cot-beds.

Later, after everyone had slept and ate we went for a walk around the river. The view was beautiful! Tomorrow we have orientation early in the morning, but after we are going to grab a fabulous lunch and go to the market for fresh fruits and veggies!
Today we also walked around looking for a grocery store. It took a while to find, but after walking around the Duomo and talking to multiple people we found one about two blocks from us that has everything! (usually it's only a bakery or butcher or deli etc.) |
